Terms of use

SimpleFlight, by Digitier, LLC · Effective 20 September 2026

These terms cover the SimpleFlight app and the simpleflight.app website, provided by Digitier, LLC, Riverside, California. By using either you agree to them.

A planning aid, not a briefing and not for navigation

SimpleFlight is a supplementary aid for planning VFR flights in the United States. It is not a source of official weather or NOTAM briefings, it is not approved by the FAA for any purpose, and it must not be used for navigation. It does not tell you whether a flight is safe or legal.

Under 14 CFR 91.3 and 91.103 the pilot in command is responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of the aircraft, and must become familiar with all available information before a flight. Obtain an official briefing, check NOTAMs and TFRs from official sources, use current charts and the Chart Supplement, and verify performance and fuel against your aircraft's approved documents.

Data accuracy

Weather, TFR, airspace, airport, runway and frequency data come from government and third-party sources. They can be late, incomplete, unavailable or wrong, and the copy inside the app can be out of date. Calculations such as heading, time, fuel, wind components, suggested altitudes and the expected traffic pattern are estimates from that data and from numbers you enter. Traffic patterns and runway diagrams are schematics, not procedures; ATC instructions and published local procedures always take precedence.

Accounts

Accounts are optional. Keep your sign-in secure, give us a working email address, and tell us if you think your account has been misused. You can delete your account at any time. How we handle your information is described in the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, to reach other people's data, to scrape it in bulk, or to resell it without our written agreement.

Ownership

The app, the site and the SimpleFlight name and logo belong to Digitier, LLC. Your flight plans and airplane profiles belong to you; you give us permission to store and process them to provide the service and as the privacy policy describes.

No warranty and limits on liability

SimpleFlight is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data. To the fullest extent the law allows, Digitier, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a flight planned or flown with the help of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, or US $50 if greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.

Paid features

If we offer subscriptions or purchases, they are sold through Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Prices and what is included will be shown before you buy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes belong in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California.
